I had a lovely stay at this resort, which is a conversion of bungalows providing a homely feel. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, but the beach nearby is not the most beautiful one on the island. The service from the French-Thai couple running the place was exceptional. Overall, it's a good value but be aware that transportation to other beaches can get pricey after hours.

I had a lovely stay at this new resort, which was once a set of rental bungalows. The rooms offer a homely feel with ample space and amenities, plus the beach is just a short walk away. The service from the owners was exceptional, but the beach nearby isn't the best on the island, and the main area of Lamai is a bit far to walk after dark unless you're okay with expensive taxis.
